Girl Games Fortnite to Get A Year Of Beta, Early Access Support

In an exclusive interview with Forbes, Girl Games founder and CEO Emily Blevins reveals that the game will have an active beta period, meaning that all users can play for a year, and will be available for free in 2018.
“I’m pretty sure that there’s a huge community out there who have been waiting for this,” Blevings told Forbes.
“And if we’re going to do it this way, I think we should be able to make it work with the best of them.”
When we launched the game, we were only aiming to have about 30,000 players, and I don’t know if we were in the right place, but we were able to grow that to over 50,000 in the first six months.
I think this is a good sign that we’re getting there.
“She continued, “We’ll continue to be transparent with players and we’ll be doing a lot of testing and we’re planning to do some new things that I think are going to be very cool.
And we’re looking at doing things like creating more games for women and girls.””
We’re also going to support girls with their education, with their careers and with their social media.
And we’re looking at doing things like creating more games for women and girls.”
In addition to Girl Games, Blevin also said that she is developing her own “unannounced” game, and has been looking into bringing in the popular game maker Zoe Quinn as a voice actress.
“We want to create a world that is inclusive of all genders, and we want to make sure we’re inclusive of girls too,” she said.
“Zoe is going to have her own voice in Girl Games because she’s really good at the game and we wanted to give her a voice.”
In 2018, Girl Gamers plans to launch its own app store, and plans to release a “free” downloadable game, which Blevons stated “will be a really fun, free game to play.”
“That’s a pretty important thing to me because we don’t want to be a game publisher, we don´t want to get into the game business.
We’re not going to make a buck out of Girl Games,” she added.
“But we’re really passionate about this thing that we do.
So I’m really excited to get going with that.”
