NBA Finals: Lakers win over Clippers in Game 7

The Los Angeles Lakers are back in Los Angeles after a 6-2 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

Kobe Bryant scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds in the game.
Kobe Bryant had 21 points, including a career-high eight three-pointers and a career best 10 assists, and 11 rebounds in L.L.A.’s 103-98 victory over Brooklyn on Monday.
The Lakers are the defending NBA champions, and they will face off against the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
In Game 7, the Lakers will look to continue their streak of winning seven straight games.
Los Angeles had won four straight over the Nets.
“I think it’s a great feeling,” Lakers coach Mike Brown said.
“It’s exciting, but it’s not all about winning.
We’ve been playing a great team.
We’re very motivated.
We’ve got a lot of guys coming in and working hard.
L.L., for us, is a team that is ready to play and compete.
We have a great group of players.”
Brooklyn, which won the NBA Championship last year, has been playing without Brook Lopez.
Lopez left the game in the first half with a right knee contusion.
Los Angeles is 1-2 in the series with Brooklyn and has won two of three overall.
Brook Lopez is averaging 18.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 20 playoff games against the Lakers.
Bobby Portis has averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 23 playoff games.
Cleveland’s LeBron James leads the Cavs with 28.3 points, 13.3 rebounds and 9.4 assists in the playoffs.
James led the Cavs to a 115-103 win in the last meeting on March 11.
Golden State’s Stephen Curry had 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
Isaiah Thomas scored 21 for the Warriors, who are 1-1 in the finals.
This will be the second meeting between the Lakers and Nets in 2017.
Last season, the Nets won 102-98 in Game 5 in Brooklyn, but the Lakers lost 104-99 in Game 6.
After a 3-1 series sweep in the 2014 NBA Finals, the Celtics won Game 7 102-91 in Boston in 2012.
