From the New Orleans Saints’ perspective, there’s a growing sense of urgency after a disappointing first half of the season.
Ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Lions, the team said it’s focused on the positives of its effort to turn things around and said the players will have more time to focus on Sunday’s performance.
New Orleans was 0-2 in its first three games and 0-1 in its past four games.
It won’t be the only team to struggle against the Lions after they lost to Atlanta in Week 5.
This game will be the first of three against the Chicago Bears.
It’s a positive sign, Payton said.
The good news is that we’ve gotten a lot better each game and we’ve been able to keep getting better each week.
“The Saints have won three of their past four meetings with the Lions.
The Lions were 4-3 in the past five meetings, including a 41-32 victory last season.
